A 2 CM WOUND

2025
106 x 98 × 90cm
mixed media installation

A 2cm Wound explores invisible trauma experienced by immigrants as they navigate displacement and microaggression. These experiences are rarely noticed, but they accumulate quietly, shaping internal dialogues about self-doubt, self-searching, and self-healing.

Including a performance where the artist cuts the chair leg with a dinner knife, and photography of artist's hands after the cutting activity, the installation subtly transplants the invisible trauma to a wooden chair. Created by a dinner knife-a symbol of daily life, the unnoticeable wound, accompanied by a pile of wood shavings, exists as a silent evidence of a war inside the body.
